Singles Tennis Ladder
Table last updated 7th June
Rules
1. Handicaps are allocated by the organiser but as a guide this will likely be -
Junior at high school but not playing in teams + 40
Female playing in second team or not playing in any team + 40
Male playing in second team + 30
Female playing in first team + 30
Male playing in first team + 15
Scratch player +0
2. The handicaps will be applied negatively.
For example a scratch player against somebody who plays predominately in a second team would start every game –30 (difference between each handicap). For a doubles match if a second team player (+30) and a scratch player (+0) were playing two first team players (both +15) the game would be played at scratch as the joint handicaps add up to 30-30
3. Match Duration
The duration of the match is agreed by the players involved however as a minimum, at least one set to 6 must be played
4. Challenges
Exactly the same as a squash ladder, where a player can challenge anybody up to three places above their position
5. The ladder finishes on 31st August
6. Results must be emailed to the organiser
